Vance Neal ’73 opened an additional office for his financial consulting practice on Marco Island, Fla. Vance and his wife, Susan, moved to the island in April. The Neals have two children, Barbara and Kevin. After serving 14 years in the ministry, Vance is celebrating 25 years as a financial consultant.

Jeff Chandler BA retired in October 2008 after more than 23 years with Kraft Foods and Altria Corporate Services, Inc. Since retirement, Jeff has gone on a work project trip to Morocco and has taught accounting at a local community college. After some serious relaxing, Jeff hopes to move into a consulting assignment soon since he believes he’s too young to retire permanently. Jeff and his wife, Barbara (Bryant) Chandler BA ’77, reside in San Antonio, Texas, along with their children, Bryant (24) and Brianne (18).

Debbie (Fuller) Thomas has written her second contemporary fiction novel. Raising Rain will be available Sept. 1. Her debut novel, Tuesday Night at the Blue Moon, is a 2009 Christy Award finalist.

Larry H. Linamen BA will become the 11th president of Greenville College. Linamen, currently the executive vice president of Crichton College in Memphis, was unanimously elected to the position by the Greenville College Board of Trustees after a year-long, nationwide presidential search. Linamen holds BA degrees in business administration and accounting, an MBA (1978), and an EdD in business and educational administration (1984). He has published a book (1998) titled Guide for the College Bound: Everything You Need to Know.

Lori Jean (Alexander) Pearson BSN has been happily married to her husband for 11 years. He has been a police officer for 11 years. Her son is actively involved in Cub Scouts and baseball, and her daughter participates in dance and T-ball. Lori is an agency nurse traveling around the Dayton area. She hopes to one day return to school to get her nurse practitioner’s degree.

Jenny (Kardatzke) Rasmussen BA received a PhD in psychology in May 2009 from Ball State University. Her dissertation was titled, Autism: Assessment and Intervention Practices of School Psychologists and the Implications for Training in the United States.

Laura Marie (Mackness) Fair and her husband, Aaron Fair BA ’04, had their second child, Libby Jane, on Aug. 29, 2008. Laura writes, “She is so sweet, and after Nolan, our 2-year-old, recovered from the initial shock of another baby in the house, all is well! Libby spent her first week in the NICU but has been healthy ever since, and we are really grateful for the excellent care she received and to have her home!”

Nathaniel and Lynsey reside in Walnut Creek, Calif., where Nathaniel is the HR manager at Cartridge World North America and Lynsey is starting her nursing career.

Amy White BA married Brent White on Oct. 12, 2006, in a beautiful family ceremony in Hocking Hills, Ohio. They have two children, Austin, 13, and Timothy Dean, 14 months. Amy is the head teacher in an infant and toddler childcare facility, and she leads worship at Cross Community Church in Sidney, Ohio. Amy and her family reside in Greenville, Ohio.

1972 - Frederick Clemens BA ’68, MDiv welcomed the Anderson University Chorale to the Latham United Methodist Church in Huntsville, Ala., on March 15. No other AU program had ever been in the Latham church before. A record crowd of 250 people attended and was inspired by the chorale music. More AU groups are anticipated for the years to come.
