Paul Yerden BS completed 11 years of senior adult ministry at North Hills Church of God in Phoenix in May 2008. This past fall he began a ministry assignment with Palm West Community Church in Sun City West, Ariz. He is in charge of the music, worship, and choir ministry. He and Rita Jo (Hankins) Yerden BS have moved to Sun City West. They have two organ and piano CDs available. Jesus, Name I Love was released in 2005. Treasures was released in 2007.

Marjorie Ebanks BA retired as principal of the Triple C School in the Cayman Islands at the end of the 2007-2008 school year. She served at the school 31 years. She will continue as an ambassador of the school in her role as executive secretary of the General Assembly of the Church of God, the sponsoring agency of the school. She is married to McTare Ebanks, and they have one daughter, Lucy Ebanks Gordon.

Marilyn Middleton Ferguson BA married Michael Merten on Oct. 19, 2008, at the Saratoga Church of God in Saratoga, Ind. Marilyn is the switchboard/receptionist for Church of God Ministries in Anderson. Mike works at Century Pharmaceuticals in Fishers, Ind.

Norman McMillian BA writes, “My oldest daughter, Heather, gave birth to my second granddaughter on March 17, 2008. Her name is Anileigha Louise Tremane. Heather married Tyler Tremane on Aug 25, 2007. My wife, Stacey, and I will celebrate 22 years of marriage on April 4, 2009. I am currently employed at Anderson University as a groundskeeper and have been employed here for almost 30 years.”

Mark Gittens BA served as the national president of the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics during the 2007-2008 term. Mark practices as an orthopedic surgeon in Columbus, Ohio. He credits the science program at Anderson University for giving him an excellent preparation for future studies in medicine.

Chris Braschler BA writes that after nine years in West Virginia, his family is now in Greenfield, Ind. He is the pastor of Greenfield First Church of God. His oldest son, Ryan, is a junior at the University of West Virginia. His youngest son, Jacob, is a freshman at AU.
Cindy (Kennedy) Kuhn is employed at Northrop Grumman, Inc. She is pursuing photography on the side, especially interested in wildlife and nature photography.

Eddie Cumberbatch BA lives in Santa Cruz, Trinidad and Tobago, with his wife, Rhonda, and two daughters, Elysia and Richelle. In 2006, he joined the faculty of the University of Trinidad and Tobago, where he is teaching math and pursuing a doctoral degree. Last fall, he released his second vocal CD, I Will Praise Him, accompanied by Paul BS ’59 and Rita Jo (Hankin) Yerden BS ’59.

Mike Gee BA is in his tenth year as principal of Joe Harrison Carter Elementary School in Tompkinsville, Ky. He and his wife, Ruby, are active in the children’s ministry in their church. They have three children — Dailey Michael, 9; Karley Lavon, 7; and Kynley Ruth, an infant. “We love the small town community where we live. I often think of life at AU. Karen D. Hamilton BA has written several human interest articles for the Salt and Light Guidebook, 3rd edition. The book is published by the Compassion Coalition, a religious nonprofit organization uniting local churches and individuals to better serve the needs of the Knoxville, Tenn., community. Suzi Swartz Price BSN and her husband, Stuart, adopted a two-year-old boy from Kazan, Russia. “Our homecoming was May 2, 2008. His name is Joseph Alexander Price. He is adjusting well and is a blessing in our life. He joins our two other children, Jacob, 15, and Julia, 12. We also moved to Nashville, Tenn., from Dayton, Ohio. It is an exciting time in our family.”

Roger Hamilton BA is the senior pastor at Huber Heights Church of God in Huber Heights, Ohio. He serves on the Executive Board for Ohio Ministries and as a mentoring coach for local Church of God pastors in Ohio. Matt Williams BA is the spiritual director and adult program coordinator for a Christian bereavement/grief counseling center in Cleveland, Ohio. He has a Master of Arts in clinical counseling, is a licensed clinical counselor, is certified in thanatology, and is a certified grief counselor. He was an associate pastor in Akron, Ind., a senior pastor in Middleburg Heights, and Elyria, both in Ohio. Currently he is serving as the associate pastor of administration in Parma, Ohio. He has also served as a grief counselor for Hospice and a high school vice principal for a catholic school in Cleveland, Ohio. He is a frequent guest lecturer for local colleges, universities, churches, hospitals, and other institutions. Sheri (Lehner) Williams BA received her Master of Arts degree in education with a specialty in computers in the classroom. She is in her 12th year as a high school computer science teacher.

Jeff Stutzman BA was inducted into the Indiana High School Forensic Association Hall of Fame. To be eligible for the Hall of Fame, a coach must have coached in Indiana for at least 10 years and be nominated by a fellow coach. The selection committee considers years of service, success at the competitive level, and contributions to the speech/debate community within the state of Indiana. Jeff has coached for 13 years in Indiana with two state champions and several national semi-finalists. He has served as the executive director of the state organization for the past four years.

John VanNorman BA was promoted to policy and research counsel for the Supreme Court of Ohio. Among his various duties, John provides legal counsel on all policy and research issues affecting the administrative operation of the Supreme Court and the Ohio judicial system, performs legal and rule drafting services for the Supreme Court’s various advisory bodies, and assists with government relations matters. Michelle (Uliczny) VanNorman BA was a social worker until the birth of their daughter, Anna Kate, now 2. The family lives in Hilliard, Ohio.

Jamilyn Ordo BA married Nathan Bertsch on Oct. 16, 2004. Alumni in the wedding included Ryan Ordo ’02, Jamie (Cole) Briscoe BA ’02, and Kati (Powell) Crater BA ’03. Jamilyn and Nathan live in Indianapolis where she teaches in Indianapolis Public Schools at the Center for Inquiry. She earned a master’s degree in educational leadership in May 2007 from Indiana University. “Nathan and I were thrilled to welcome our first child, Landon, on March 20, 2008. Although he surprised us by arriving early and weighing just over 4 lbs., he has been doing wonderfully, and we rejoice in the blessing to be parents to such an amazing little guy!”

Beth Ann Hollingsworth BA married Andrew Davidson BA on May 4, 2008. They met at AU at the student-led worship service called 10:07 in Rice Hall their freshman year.
Kyle Hooten BA joined the army after graduating from AU and was commissioned as an officer. He attended various army schools, graduating from the Army Ranger School as the Officer Honor Graduate. His wife is also an army officer. They are stationed at Fort Drum in upstate New York. His unit was scheduled to deploy by the end of 2008.

Lindsey (Sandberg) Newton BA and Adam Newton BA are living in Marietta, Ga. Adam attends Life Chiropractic school and is scheduled to graduate in March. 1957 - Dale Grubbs BA ’54, MDiv married Joyce Hodges Snelling BS ’55 on Oct. 4, 2008, in Laguna Beach, Calif. Dale’s brother, David Grubbs, performed the wedding ceremony. Dale was a U.S. Navy chaplain for 30 years.
1988 - Mark Adams MDiv published two daily devotional commentaries with Living Springs Publishing. They are Revelation from the Word Volume 1: Old Testament and Revelation from the Word Volume 2: New Testament.
1993 - Mike Kee MA is working on a master’s degree in ethnomusicology through Liberty University.
2008 - Mary “Beth” (Davey) Baxter BA ’04, MTS and James “Robbie” Baxter BA ’02 live in Bellville, Texas, where Robbie is a database administrator for ProjecTools.
