FAQ: Current Students

Registration and Grades

The Anderson University School of Adult Learning continues to serve our students through a "user-friendly" registration process. To register for classes, call our office at (765) 641-4250, or email adulted@anderson.edu.

What if I need to withdraw?

Call our office at (765) 641-4250, or email adulted@anderson.edu. Students who are financial aid recipients will be directed to the financial aid counselor to determine the effect of the withdrawal on financial aid.

What if I miss or am late to class?
Due to federal guidelines, the concentrated schedule and accelerated format of each module, as well as the emphasis upon participatory learning, adult learners are required to attend every scheduled class session in a module.  Students are expected to be in class at the scheduled start time, and to remain in class until faculty dismisses the class.

In the event of illness or emergency, it is possible for a face-to-face program student to miss one class in a module and still pass the class. Students should contact the facilitator to discuss the possibility of submitting ‘make up work’ if a class is missed, although facilitators are not obligated to accept late work. Online program students must be present the first night of a blended/online course.

If long term medical, family or employment concerns develop, the adult learner needs to contact the School of Adult Learning office immediately to discuss options for taking a temporary absence from school.

Please see the Cohort Program Handbook for more information about our attendance policies.

What if I move?

Call our office at (765) 641-4250, or email adulted@anderson.edu to make any address, telephone, or employer changes.  To withdraw from the program, you must notify the director of adult degree programs, Jeff Hency. Withdrawal from the program will jeopardize any financial aid for the rest of that academic year.

How can I re-enter the program?

Notify the School of Adult Learning office if you desire to return. If it has been more than two semesters since you have been in the program, you will need to fill out a new application for readmission.

How and when do I get my grades?

At the end of each course, grades are submitted by the facilitator to the School of Adult Learning office for processing. Students are notified via email once grades are posted. Students can then access their grades from Access AU. If an official grade letter is needed, contact the School of Adult Learning office.

How can I receive a transcript?

Official transcripts may be requested in writing from the registrar's office. A transcript fee of $3 is payable in advance for each copy. Transcript requests should contain name, address, phone number, social security number, specific dates of attendance and names and addresses where the transcripts are to be sent.

Whom do I call to change any of my personal information?

Call our office at (765) 641-4250, or email adulted@anderson.edu to make any name, address, telephone, or employer changes.
