The Anderson University School of Adult Learning offers online courses for adults whose schedules make it difficult to attend traditional day time courses or commit to one night a week for several months.
Online learning is offered in two formats: synchronous and asynchronous.
Synchronous means that the course is in "real time" and requires the student to set aside a scheduled block of time to be online at the same time as the instructor and others in the class.
Asynchronous means that the course does not require the student and instructor to be on at the same time, allowing the student to get on at his/her convenience to fulfill required assignments.
The School of Adult Learning offers asynchronous courses to fulfill elective and liberal arts requirements.
