LEAD Program
“It’s not position that makes the leader; it’s the leader that makes the position.”

LEAD Program Overview
Anderson University’s LEAD Program (Leadership in Educational Administration Development) is a high-quality, comprehensive, school-based, and practical program designed for educators who aspire to be a school principal.
The Anderson University LEAD Program serves anyone who wishes to pursue initial licensing or take license renewal classes in school leadership and administration. A master’s degree in school leadership can also be earned while taking classes for initial licensing.
The LEAD Program is built on four key areas to provide the best in school leadership training and development:
- Design - A cohort model initial licensing and degree completion; the curriculum covers a broad area of critical school leadership dimensions, some of which are not included in other programs at the Masters and licensing level; our classes are designed with the practicing teacher's schedule in mind, using seminar style instruction with a practical, school-based focus.
- Quality – Highly respected practicing administrators and school leaders serve as instructors; the curriculum focuses on a more holistic school leadership approach; field experience is embedded in each course.
- Service - Personalized service, with easy access to university personnel, parking, and classes; we deliver books to most classes and do all class registrations for you.
- Cost - A competitive tuition rate, which locks in at the first fall class (no increase throughout the program); no fees past the $50 application fee; a minimal ($15) parking for parking on campus each semester, with no charge for parking at the Flagship Education Center or campus classes in the summer; financial assistance is available.
We have been very successful in having top-notch educators select our program. Our current cohorts are positive and enthusiastic about their experiences here at A.U.
We are dedicated to excellence in school leadership!
