An Alternative Route to Licensure for Career Changers

The Teach for Indiana Program (TIP) is intended for an individual who has a desire to become a teacher. This program has been specifically designed to recruit, prepare, and license talented individuals for teaching. Candidates must have a four-year baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution of higher education with a GPA of 3.0 overall and in their major area of study or a GPA of 2.5 overall and in their major, with five years of professional experience. Candidates may select either elementary (K-5) or secondary (6-12) tracts. Candidates must pass a rigorous screening process which includes national tests, interviews, and a review of teaching-related experiences.

When is the deadline to apply?

Applicants interested in the Teach for Indiana Program at Anderson University for the academic year beginning Fall 2008/2009 should submit all requirements on or before May 1, 2009 with an application fee of $100.
