Program Goals

It is our intention that the candidates of the Anderson University School of Theology Doctor of Ministry program become more effective in their ministry because of their connection to this particular DMin program. The School of Theology believes successful candidates will exhibit this effectiveness through enhanced ministry. Thus, the DMin program focuses on four goals during coursework and all interactions:

  1. Doctor of Ministry degree recipients will give evidence that their professional lives as ministers have been enhanced in terms of ministerial effectiveness.

  2. The churches, institutions, or organizations of Doctor of Ministry degree recipients will give evidence that their corporate lives have been enhanced in terms of missional effectiveness.

  3. Doctor of Ministry degree recipients will give evidence that their professional lives have been enhanced in terms of spiritual depth in ministry.

  4. Doctor of Ministry degree recipients will give evidence of an enhanced praxis for ministry.
