Application


Before you begin ... Check the Admission Criteria to make sure this degree is for you.

Please note that the deadline for fall semester admission is September 1,
and the deadline for spring semester admission is December 1.

1. Step One is to take a ten-question self assessment, "Is An Online Seminary Degree Right For Me?" Click Here to take the self assessment. You will automatically return to this page after you submit your self assessment.

2. Step Two is to send an e-mail to Dr. John Aukerman, our Director of Distance Education, and tell him that you took the self assessment. He will access your results, reply to you and let you know how you scored, and whether or not you should consider taking our online degree.

3. Step Three is to read one or two of the following syllabi so you can see exactly what is required in an online seminary course. These are actual syllabi that we use in first-year courses. We don't want to frighten you away -- but we do want you to know exactly what you are signing up for.

4. Step Four is to write an admissions essay in a Microsoft Word document and e-mail it as a file attachment to Dr. John Aukerman, the Director of Distance Education. One requirement for admission to this degree is that you must demonstrate that you possess graduate level writing skills. Because most of the academic work in this program is done through the computer, you will need to be able to write clearly, accurately, and at a graduate school level. You will demonstrate your ability to do graduate level writing in this essay. The faculty will evaluate your essay, and if your writing skills are not up to graduate standards, you will not be admitted to this degree. In writing your essay, follow this outline:

1) Your autobiography (not more than 1,000 words)
2) Your conversion (not more than 300 words)
3) Your call to ministry (not more than 300 words)
4) Your academic journey since high school (not more than 250 words)
5) A list of your academic strengths
6) A list of your academic limitations
7) Why you want this online degree (not more than 500 words).

After you have written your essay, send it as a file attachment to Dr. John Aukerman, the Director of Distance Education.

5. Step Five is to print the Application form, follow all instructions in it, complete it, and mail it with your $25 application fee. Click here to download the Application Form, which is a PDF.
