The mission of the Anderson University School of Theology is to educate at the graduate professional level both men and women for Christian ministry. To this end, we are committed to being a community of scholars who are church-related, and in whose character and servanthood the following are vitally linked: biblical faith, academic integrity, Christian spirituality, love for persons; and a responsible relation with the created order and all humankind.

Admission Criteria

  1. You must possess a baccalaureate degree from an accredited undergraduate college or university.
  2. If you are a pastor or minister, you must already be ordained or in the ordination process. That is, you have already entered ministry and have not had the opportunity to earn the Master of Divinity degree, which is the standard entry-level degree for Christian ministry.
  3. You must demonstrate that you possess graduate level writing skills. Because most of the academic work in the proposed degree will be done through the computer, you will need to be able to write clearly, accurately, and at a graduate school level.
  4. You must demonstrate that you possess minimal computer skills, including the ability to
  5. (a) produce documents with Microsoft Word,
    (b) access the internet,
    (c) send and receive e-mail with attached files, and
    (d) receive streaming media

    If you do not possess all of these abilites, you will not be admitted to this program.
