Degree Requirements
- Each course you take will require you to recruit a small group of adults and teach them for five hours. You will teach them information you learned in that course.
- Each course you take will require that you travel to campus for ten hours of face-to-face interaction in the classroom with your instructor and other students in the course.
- You must achieve a grade of “C-” or above in all classes, and a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
- There are 14 courses in this degree (three credit hours each), listed here in the order they should be taken:
First Year, Fall Semester:
Orientation to Online Graduate Theological Studies
History and Geography of Ancient Israel
Constructive Theology I
First Year, Spring Semester:
Prophecy and Wisdom in Ancient Israel
Constructive Theology II
Church of God Reformation Movement - or - your Denominational History
Second Year, Fall Semester:
Jesus and the Kingdom of God
Constructive Theology III
History of the Christian Church
Second Year, Spring Semester:
Paul and the Emerging Church
Ethics for the Vocation of Ministry
Clinical Pastoral Education (Spring and Summer) - or - Mentoring (one credit hour per semester for six semesters, during any six semesters of your choice)
Third Year, Fall Semester:
Biblical Foundations of Mission
Capstone Course in the Practice of Ministry
