The mission of the Anderson University School of Theology is to educate at the graduate professional level both men and women for Christian ministry. To this end, we are committed to being a community of scholars who are church-related, and in whose character and servanthood the following are vitally linked: biblical faith, academic integrity, Christian spirituality, love for persons; and a responsible relation with the created order and all humankind.

HEART Institute

The HEART Institute’s mission is to equip Christian workers with practical skills in cultural adaptation, problem solving, and community development for the purpose of sharing the good news of God’s love. Ideal for persons considering ministry in the Third World, various programs are offered throughout the year. Academic and practical learning are combined while students reside in the HEART village, where many aspects of Third World living are simulated. Areas of focus include Cross Cultural Communications, Appropriate Technology, Primary Health, Bio-Intensive Gardening, Nutrition and Food Technology, and Small Animal Husbandry.

The HEART Institute is on the campus of Warner Southern College in Lake Wales, Fla. A matching scholarship is available. For more information about this exciting venture in missionary training, please contact:
