    Nathan Wiebe, M.Div. Candidate

    12.16.2011

nathan-wiebeAs a minister in Guam for five years, I knew I needed more training if I was going to continue in vocational ministry. Coming into the SOT, I found significant financial help, accessible faculty, and many opportunities to network with peers and ministry leaders. I value the relationships that I am developing here. I have definitely experienced the Lord shaping me in new ways as a result of my time at the AU SOT.

    Gretchen Olson, MTS Candidate

gretchen-olson-150As a full-time youth pastor, I started in the AU School of Theology because I was looking to stretch and educate my thinking. I am encouraged by what I am learning because it applies to my teaching. I am learning about what an academic journey of faith looks like and how it can transform my relationship with Christ. I came seeking an academic experience, but so much more is taking place.

jason-fries-150When I tell people I am in seminary, they often respond with sympathy because they think all I do is read about what old theologians have to say about God and that what I’m learning has no practical value. This is not the case at the Anderson University School of Theology because the faculty blends rigorous academic work with practical ministry involvement that challenges us to discover the real-world implications for what we are learning in class.

Kirsten and Ethan Harting, M.Div. Grads

    08.06.2010

hartings-150After graduating from AU in 2007, we wanted to find a seminary that we could both attend. Nothing compared to the Anderson University School of Theology in terms of affordability or housing options. Plus, we already felt connected to the campus. It was a great decision to come here. The faculty is so passionate, and we’ve felt encouragement from our peers in the seminary community. We feel much more prepared to pursue our calling into ministry.

randee-doe-150I have grown spiritually and academically through the relationships built within the Anderson University School of Theology. The MAIS program has equipped me to serve and relate to cultures within the United States and abroad. The courses, content, and conversations demonstrate how we can engage in God’s mission through traditional and non-traditional ways of doing ministry in this changing world.

    Roger Brown, M.Div. Grad

    08.06.2010

roger-brown-150The Anderson University School of Theology has impacted me by giving me more knowledge for ministry. I’ve been able to minister at Pasadena Heights Church of God in Indianapolis because of my connection with the AU SOT. But the main thing about this place is that it is journey. I have learned that God has humor, and I’ve had to get used to his humor because he has often forced me out of my comfort zone, helping me to grow.

tyler-benbow-150I arrived at the Anderson University School of Theology to develop a greater command of Scripture and a better understanding of the mission of Jesus Christ. Through the help of a gifted and passionate faculty, along with a relevant curriculum, the SOT is proving to be a positive force in my development. I would recommend it to anyone searching for an institution that is fully committed to helping them grow into a more effective disciple of Jesus.

erin-moss-taylor-150The Master of Theological Studies degree has deepened my faith and helped me think critically about scripture, theology, and ministry in a way that impacts my daily life.
