Merle D. Strege

Merle Strege is professor of historical theology at Anderson University in the Religious Studies Department. Before joining the faculty of Anderson University, Strege taught at Warner Pacific College (Portland, Ore.). Strege has written numerous books on the Church of God (Anderson) and contributed to others. He recently served with Michael Cartwright as editor of Called to Unite Knowledge & Vital Piety Indiana's Wesleyan-Related Universities (2011). Strege is currently researching and writing the centennial history of Anderson University. He teaches courses in Church of God history for the School of Theology and oversees denominational studies courses.

Strege has been on the Anderson University faculty since 1982.
