The mission of the Anderson University School of Theology is to educate at the graduate professional level both men and women for Christian ministry. To this end, we are committed to being a community of scholars who are church-related, and in whose character and servanthood the following are vitally linked: biblical faith, academic integrity, Christian spirituality, love for persons; and a responsible relation with the created order and all humankind.

Center Participants Reach Milestone

08-28-2008

Three Center for Christian Leadership participants have completed their work for the Certification in Christian Ministry. It is a pleasure to have these individuals working through the Center for their continuing education.

Jill Dugal, who attends the First Church of God in Cape Coral, Fla., completed her 50 CEUs in the Christian Studies Track. Jill is a lay leader in her congregation. She began studies with the Center in January 2005. Jill feels God’s calling to ultimately become an ordained pastor and believes this work is important for that ministry dream.

Alma Hutchinson is from Mt. Sterling, Ky. She completed the Christian Studies Track. Alma attends Hope First Church of God. She serves as a Sunday School teacher and child care worker. Her reason for enrolling in the Center in January 2007 was to be a better teacher and know God’s word as she interacts with her church community.

Vernet Brown is from Elmont, N.Y. She attends the First Church of God in Elmont. She is a teacher and board elder for her congregation. Vernet enrolled in the program during 2003 for the purpose of growing closer to God, more clearly understanding scripture, and becoming better equipped as a pastor. She completed the Ministerial Studies Track.

The Center congratulates these individuals on their hard work and dedication to continuing ministry study. For information on the Center and its continuing education opportunities, click here.
