Hey everyone! Wait….is this…could this really be…a blog from Zach?  Yes it is, and it has been forever since I posted.  But I am back now (not that you really missed reading about nothing).  So I had a huge 8 page paper I was working on all of last week because I procrastinated soooooooo long.  Some people would look back and say, “Gosh darn, I wish I wouldn’t have waited so long to start,� not me though.  I don’t regret it a bit.  But…anyway that along with our basketball road trips to Murray State, Transylvania (Lexington), and Mt. St. Joseph (Cincinnati) has kept me pretty busy.

So now it’s finals week!  And you know what, I am really enjoying finals week.  It’s pretty simple… you do a little studying, you take a test on steroids (the test is on steroids, not you…hopefully) and then you just chill.  I mean there’s no class so you can just sit around and watch movies or play N64 (something I have done way too much of lately).  But, I mean last night there was so much fun stuff to do I don’t even know how anyone studied…

Last night the Avanti Boosters (a club here on campus) presented Humbleman’s Holiday (or H2).  H2 is Christmas show that the Boosters put on annually.  There was Christmas music, Christmas skits (hilarious), and a wonderful poem by George W. Bush.   It was all soooooo ridiculously funny!  It aired at 7 and 9:30, and I attended the latter, after H2 I went over to the MarketPlace for Midnight Breakfast served by the professors.  It was tons of fun. And the food was yum yum.

Anyway…

Finals are sweet and it’s good to be writing again.

Thursday we get to go home!!! Yay!!!

So, in my last post I discussed procrastination and the paper I didn’t put much effort into. I wasn’t really thinking about how ANYONE can see this.

 The next day, my phone rang. The caller ID simply said “Dad Cell.” My father calls me at least a few times every week, so this didn’t seem abnormal. We said our usual hellos, and then there was a short silence before he said, “So, you were up pretty late writing that paper I hear.”

 WHAT?!?!?! 

 I had no clue how he found out. It was so creepy! Then he started quoting exactly what I had written in my blog. That’s why I laughed that really nervous fake laugh that really means, “you caught me.”

 Then Dad and I laughed about it… and if he’s reading this one he’s probably shaking his head at the computer screen.

 In other news, I have a roommate that is extremely disciplined in working out. The rest of us aren’t really sure what has gotten into her. As of last year, she was right there with us in ordering pizza and being lazy. This year she eats healthy food and goes to work out in the Wellness Center EVERY DAY. Tonight we were helping her pick out her clothes for a presentation she’s giving tomorrow, and that’s when it hit us. SHE LOOKS FABULOUS! So what did the rest of us do? We popped the Billy Banks Boot Camp work out video into the VCR and attempted to keep up. We barely made it 20 minutes before we were sprawled on the sofas, drinking out of our water bottles, and fearing that our legs were going to fall off.

The moral of the story: Don’t attempt to work off the freshman (and sophomore and junior and senior) 15 in one night.
