Howdy ya’ll! Sorry its been 4 score since I last posted. It’s no excuse, but I have been swamped with work as of late. A majority of my finals are projects this semester and I procrastinated working on them, so I am stuck doing them now. Phew…anyway, school is almost over…I am kind of excited for a break, but not really to leave all of my friends.
So, it finally is getting warm again…I think…knock on wood. I went home the other day to visit my family and as I was rummaging through the garage and I found some sweet retro roller blades. They are these plastic roller blades and the padding on the inside comes out and just looks like moccasins. So basically its amazing because I brought them back to school and I can wear them as blades, or as shoes! I know, I know, that sounds completely stupid…but get this, it really is cool because I can skate to class and then take my blades off inside the building and just wear the lil’ boots. I did it the other day, and it worked amazing. The only thing was, I found out fast that skating with a bag over one shoulder can be tough due to it completely throwing off balance (which I don’t have much of in the first place). So I am in the valley up at the top of the hill by Decker Hall, and I begin to skate downhill towards the Raven Haven. I tried to take it slow, but gravity got the best of me…I began to apply the roller blade brake and it didn’t do anything!!! So I keep gaining speed and I am looking for something to grab, but then decided that that might end up badly. So I found some grass and I entered the grass at like 35 mph and started running through the grass because I couldn’t just stop. Luckily I kept balance and stopped.
It was honestly a really scary experience and an embarrassing experience at that considering a hundred people were watching me struggle…phew…at least I am ok…physically at least!
So get out your skates and enjoy the good weather to come, but be careful, gravity will get ya.

It’s really not surprising that I haven’t blogged for so long. Senioritis is taking over my entire life, including this. I’m sure many of you can relate… I have absolutely NO MOTIVATION. None. Zero.
Well, that’s a lie. I do have some motivation, but it has nothing to do with school work. I have LOTS of motivation to hang out with my friends right now. There are less than three weeks until graduation, and that makes me really really really really really sad. I’ve cried pretty much every day for the last week and a half. I can’t stand the thought of leaving this place and all of these people that I love so much. It’s really awful.
I remember being so excited to graduate high school. I couldn’t wait to move on to the next stage of life. Don’t get me wrong — I feel very prepared to step into the real world. I just don’t WANT to. I have loved it here. I know I will love the next phase too, but it’s really hard to realize that I’m going to have to let go of this wonderful place.
Before I start getting REALLY sappy (I’ll wait and do that closer to graduation…), I should mention that I’m not the only one feeling this way. My friend Amanda and I have decided that our last weekend before finals is going to be the BEST weekend of our entire college experience. We have planned every moment from 7 p.m. on Friday to 10 p.m. on Sunday. It is full of all the stuff we’ve done while here at Anderson, from playing in the Valley to euchre tournaments in Rice Hall to going to brunch in the MarketPlace after church. We’ve got it all mapped out, and we’ve invited all of our friends. We’re so stoked! It should be a blast. Believe me, you will get to see plenty of pictures when that weekend is over!
For now, I better get back to hanging out with my roommates
Only a few more chances to do this!

Hey everyone! I want to first apologize for jinxing us all with my last blog entry. I just kept going on and on about the amazing weather…and what do we get? Nasty nasty nasty wintry weather! Eww…I will take the blame for the weather. Not only did I dare write such things that would jinx us, I didn’t even bother to find some of earth’s finest wood to knock on.
Second, its good Friday and I hope everyone is going to get to spend lots of time with their families! Its so awesome that we get all this time off of school this weekend. It gives everyone a chance to reflect on the meaning of this weekend, as well as just get some much needed R and R. I do not really have much to say today (I know…its crazy), but I just want to wish everyone a happy Easter and I look forward to seeing you all on campus in a super mood due to all the extra sleep you get!!! Thats right…all you crabby people who are crabby because you don’t get enough sleep…get some sleep…take naps, sleep in, don’t do homework if you don’t have to…just enjoy your families and have a great weekend!!!
Sorry if I am preaching, I really do love you all, even if you are crabby, heck maybe I’m the one who needs sleep.
Peace and Love,
Zach
