Student Leadership Bios

Abby Knowles
Director of Student Leadership

Abby is an '04 graduate of AU that came back to work at the university in 2006. After serving as a Resident Director of Martin Hall for 3 years, she now is serving as the Director of Student Leadership. This is a particular area of passion for Abby as she seeks to develop our programs and strengthen our student leaders as they serve in various ways during their time at AU. Abby provides direct oversight for the Fellows program and teaches the Student Leadership Seminar.
 
Melissa Tucker
Director of the Fellows

Melissa, a senior at Anderson University, is from Crown Point, Ind.  She is studying Elementary Education and hopes to work as a reading specialist or English as a new language teacher in the future. After participating in University Fellows her freshman year, she served as a Resident Assistant for one year in Martin Hall and then as the coordinator of Study Buddies, a campus ministry, the following year.  Melissa has enjoyed being involved in other various campus activities including intramurals, Tri-S trips, and playing on the school soccer team.
 
Sarah Boesing
Student Leadership Intern

Sarah is a senior at Anderson University. She hails from New Albany, Ind. and is studying nursing with the hopes of spending her life loving Jesus by serving families facing childhood cancer or other life-altering illnesses. She is a graduate of the University Fellows program, and served as a Resident Assistant in Myers Hall for two years. Now she will serve as the intern to the Director of Student Leadership and provide support and encouragement to those on the student leadership team.
 

Kristina Cooper
Student Leadership Assistant and Off-campus Student Coordinator

From Normal, Ill., Kristina keeps busy with a double major in Bible and Religion/Christian Ministries and a minor in Family Science. In her role as Student Leadership Assistant, she encourages off-campus students through up to-date newsletters, service projects, and social events; performs organizational and planning tasks such as constructing a student leadership survey, compiling feedback, and planning retreats. On campus, Kristina participates in the Honors Program, BOUND, Alpha Chi, and the New Image Gospel Choir. In her spare time she loves photography, watching Cardinals baseball, and playing piano."


Rachel Robertson
Director of the University Leadership Council (ULC)

Rachel will be a senior at Anderson University this upcoming year studying secondary education and language arts major with an ENL license and TESOL certificate. Rachel’s main desire and passion in life is to travel the world, living out of her backpack, sharing God's love with lost people  by using English education! “I am so excited about this next year and what God has in store for ULC! I will now be involved in student leadership for three years and really enjoy it! Through the years I have been an RA, Peer Mentor, officer in my Social Club Lamifidel, an Officer in BOUND, and leadership at 10:07. I really enjoying working with other people and collaborating our different strengths to better our school and community!”
