Volleyball splits pair of matches at Calvin tourney

The Anderson University volleyball team split a pair of matches on Saturday at the Calvin Invitational, defeated Aquinas 3-1, but losing to the host school 3-0.
The Ravens defeated Aquinas by scores of 30-26, 30-21, 24-30 and 30-18, but lost to Calvin by a count of 30-16, 30-18 and 30-17.
Kasey Bollier led the Ravens with 74 assists, 14 service points, eight digs, five service aces and two blocks. Jessica Berlin had 17 kills, 12 digs, 11 service points, five service aces, three blocks and Caitlin Morency had 27 digs, 15 service points and three service aces.
Whitney Osborn had 22 kills, 10 digs and Laura Baden had 20 kills and four blocks. Carol Weatherford had 19 kills, five blocks, three service points and Alyssa Clawson added 11 digs, 11 service points and five service aces.
AU (15-13, 5-2 HCAC) hosts Rose-Hulman on Wednesday for Senior Night. The game will be carried live on the internet broadcast at 7:30 p.m.
