AU men 2nd at Hoosier-Buckeye Indoor meet

The Anderson University men’s track and field team finished second at the eight-team Hoosier-Buckeye Indoor meet on Saturday in Terre Haute.
Host Rose-Hulman won the meet, easily defeating runner-up Anderson 223.5-97. Manchester (88) finished third followed by Franklin (73), Hanover (43.5), Mt. St. Joseph (39), Bluffton (25) and Defiance (15).
Matt Helm accounted for the Ravens’ lone victory in the meet, winning the 5,000 meters in a time of 15:39.67.
Josh Randolph had a pair of second-place finishes in the triple jump (19-6 1/4) and long jump (19-6 1/4). Tony Pryor finished second in the 800 meters (1:59.22) as well as both the 1,600 relay team (3:38.52) and the distance medley relay team (10:47.54).
Other top five finishes were Cory Boyland in the shot put (3rd), Andrew Aaron in the high jump (4th) and pole vault (5th), Jeremiah Townsell in the shot put (4th), Kyle Carey in the mile (3rd), Mark Price in the 400 (5th), E.J. Cripe in the 55 meters (4th), Garrett Zick in the 200 (5th) and Troy Pryor in the 5,000 (3rd).
AU hosts The Runners Forum on Saturday at the Kardatzke Wellness Center. The meet will be carried live on the internet broadcast at 3 p.m.
