AU men finish third at HCAC golf tourney; Daniels honored

The Anderson University men’s golf team finished third in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference tournament on Saturday at Chestnut Hills Golf Course in Fort Wayne.
Tyler Daniels led the Ravens with a four-day total of 72-74-84-77 307 and was the runner-up individually. For his efforts, Daniels was named All-Conference for the 2008 season.
Other AU finishers were Scott Schomburg (80-75-87-93 335), Nathan Criswell (80-79-77-83 319), Lance Ramsey (84-77-84-90 335) and Justin Lane (80-84-96-84 344).
Transylvania led the field with a total of 297-293-316-310 1216, followed by Franklin (311-317-322-327 1277), Anderson (312-305-332-334 1283), Manchester (325-322-341-344 1332), Rose-Hulman (329-325-334-347 1335), Hanover (331-327-326-355 1339), Defiance (329-332-346-348 1355) and Mt. St. Joseph (352-328-342-354 1376).
The first two rounds were at Shadowood Golf Course last Saturday and Sunday. The final two rounds were at at Chestnut Hills.
