AU men still unbeaten with shutout over Bluffton

The Anderson University men’s soccer team remained unbeaten in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play, defeating Bluffton University 1-0 on Saturday at the AU Soccer Field.
David Briscoe scored the lone goal in the game in the 77th minute with assists from Paul Hill and Stephen Girt.
AU outshot Bluffton in the game 14-7, but the Beavers held a 5-2 edge in corner kicks. Jordan Hobbs earned the shutout in goal, making two saves.
Matt Young led the Ravens with three shots while Briscoe, Caleb Nickel and David Droeger each had two shots.
AU (6-7, 3-0 HCAC) hosts conference rival Manchester on Wednesday. The game will be carried live on the internet broadcast at 4 p.m.
