AU splits final two games on Canadian road trip

The Anderson University men’s basketball team finished up its five-game fall exhibition trip to Canada with a victory over Queens 91-72 and a loss to Western 95-77.
The Ravens finished 4-1 on the trip, winning their first four games.
Against Queens, Mike Russell led the Ravens with 26 points, including five 3-pointers. Ty Riddle had 18 points, including four 3-pointers and Ryan Fultz and Gabe Miller added 15 and 10 points, respectively.
The Ravens made 14-of-30 shots from 3-point range and also shot 50 percent from the field and 21-of-26 from the free throw line.
Against Western, Russell and Riddle led the Ravens with 19 points each and Fultz added 11 points. The Ravens combined to hit 21-of-26 free throws in the game.
AU opens the 2008-09 regular season against Alma on Nov. 17 at 7:30 p.m.
