AU women 2nd at Fred Wilt Memorial Invite

Moss_web.jpgThe Anderson University women’s track and field team finished second in the seven-team Fred Wilt Memorial Indoor Invitational on Saturday at the Kardatzke Wellness Center.

DePauw won the meet with 144 points with AU finishing second with 118 points.

Amanda Nagy led the Ravens with a pair of victories, taking the 55 meters (7.38) and 200 meters (26.02). Laura Lash won the mile in a time of 5:19.64 and the 800 relay team was victorious in a time of 1:49.38.

Other top five finishers for the Ravens were Rena St. Clair in the 400 (4th), Lash in the 800 (3rd), Nicole VanSkyock in the 800 (5th), Jenna Zmikly in the 1,000 (5th), Gwen Kemple in the 5,000 (17:45.58), Michelle Roth in the 55 hurdles (4th) and long jump (2nd), Erica Moffitt (3rd) and Jenny Loerop (4th) in the 3,000 steeplechase, Jordan Tipton in the pole vault (4th), Carmen Moss in the shot put (4th) and Brett Sears (2nd) and Megan Prater (4th) in the weight throw.

AU runs in the DePauw Indoor Qualifier on Friday at 5 p.m.
