Bluffton knocks off women’s soccer in 2 OTs

The Anderson University women’s soccer team lost to Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference foe Bluffton University 1-0 on Saturday at the AU Soccer Field.
The Beavers scored the lone goal of the contest in the 8th minute of the second overtime and the 118th minute overall.
AU outshot Bluffton 18-8 in the game and also had a 7-4 edge in corner kicks. Mary Deitrich led the Ravens with seven shots and Abbey Witt added five shots. Heidi Lanzer had five saves in goal for AU.
AU (5-8, 1-2 HCAC) hosts conference rival Manchester on Wednesday. The game will be carried live on the internet broadcast at 2 p.m.
