Garrity wins HCAC weekly softball award

Anderson University’s Erin Garrity has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Softball Player of the Week.

Garrity helped the Ravens to a 4-2 mark during conference action last week as the sophomore was 11-of-21 (.524) at the plate to lead the team and also scored three runs,  hit three doubles, and drove in seven runs.

This season, Garrity leads the team batting average (.365), hits (38) and RBI (24). 

Anderson (15-19, 9-5 HCAC) stands fifth place in the conference standings and will tangle with St. Francis on Thursday and first place Bluffton on Saturday.
