Men’s tennis team drops HCAC pair at Defiance

The Anderson University men’s tennis team dropped a pair of Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference matches on Tuesday, losing to Transylvania 6-0 and host Defiance 6-3 in Defiance, Ohio.
Against the Yellow Jackets, Carl Stagner won at both No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles for the Ravens. He won his singles match 7-5, 6-1 and teamed up with Kyle Mountsier to win at doubles 8-5. The other AU point came at No. 2 singles by Nathan Turner by scores of 1-6, 6-4, 6-2.
AU (3-5, 3-5 HCAC) travels to Indianapolis on Saturday for the HCAC Chamionships.
