Mt. St. Joseph sweeps Ravens, weekend baseball series

The Anderson University baseball team dropped both ends of a doubleheader to Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference foe Mt. St. Joseph on Saturday at Raven Park, losing the first game 9-4 and the second 14-3.
In the first game, Chris Jarrett led the Ravens with a double, triple and an RBI. Eric Smith had two hits and a run and Brad Lantz and Brad Schnepp each had a double and an RBI. Cody Young extended his hitting streak to 15 games with a single.
In the second game, Jarrett led the offense again with three hits and an RBI. David Addington had two hits and a run, including a triple. Stephen Jones added an RBI double.
AU (17-13, 7-7 HCAC) travels to Manchester on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
