Nagy leads women to 2nd place finish in AU Invitational

The Anderson University women’s track and field team finished second in their own five-team invitational on Saturday at Macholtz Stadium as Goshen won the event over the hosts 187-141.
Amanda Nagy led the Ravens with victories in the 100 meters (12.94) and 200 meters (26.60). Michelle Roth won the long jump (16-4 1/2) and Erica Moffitt the 3,000 steeplechase (12:07.16). The 400 relay team (51.37) was also victorious.
Other top five finishers in the track events were Rena St. Clair in the 100 (3rd) and 200 (5th), Elisabeth South in the 100 (4th), Whitney Arnold in the 200 (4th) and 400 (2nd), Nicole VanSkyock in the 800 (4th) and 1,500 (2nd), Jenny Loerop in the 1,500 (4th), Rikki Gilts in the 1,500 (5th), Roth in the 100 hurdles (4th) and the 1,600 relay team (3rd).
Top five finishers in the field events were Julia Connor in the high jump (4th), Jordan Tipton in the pole vault (5th) and long jump (5th), Roth in the triple jump (2nd), Carmen Moss in the shot put (3rd) and Discus (3rd) and Brett Sears in the shot put (5th) and hammer (2nd).
AU travels to the Little State Invitational at IUPUI on Friday and and Saturday at 9 a.m.
