Randolph, Boyland lead Raven men at Pre-Conference

Anderson University’s Josh Randolph and Cory Boyland each won an event and finished second in another on Saturday in the non-scoring three-team AU Pre-Conference Invitational at Macholtz Stadium.

Randolph won the long jump with a distance of 21-1 1/2 and was second in the triple jump with a leap of 41-1. Boyland won the shot put with a throw of 46-6 and was second in the hammer with a toss of 130-2.

Other winners for the Ravens were E.J. Cripe in the 100 meters (11.36), Wesley Churchman in the 200 meters (24.48) and both the 400 relay team (44.50) and 1,600 relay team (3:24.54).

Sean Hudson finished second in the 1,500 meters, but his time of 3:54.72 was a national provisional qualifying mark.

AU hosts the HCAC Championships on Friday and Saturday at Macholtz Stadium.
