Raven women eighth at Indiana Intercollegiates Invite

The Anderson University women’s track and field team finished eighth in the 18-team Indiana Intercollegiates Invitational on Friday and Saturday at IUPUI in Indianapolis.

Amanda Nagy led the Ravens with two runner-up finishes in the 100 and 200 meters. She won both preliminaries and finished with times of 12.63 (100) and 25.71 (200) in the finals.

Her time of 25.42 in the preliminary was .04 of the NCAA Div. III provisional national qualifying mark.
Other top eight finishers for the Ravens were Gwen Kemple (2nd) in the 5,000 (18:01.84), Erica Moffitt (5th) in the 3,000 steeplechase (1:09.23), Carmen Moss (5th) in the discus (125-0), Michelle Roth (5th) in the triple jump (34-4), Jenny Loerop (6th) in the steeplechase and Julia Connor (8th) in the high jump (4-10 1/4).

Indianapolis won the meet with 152 points, followed by Indiana Wesleyan (123), Bethel (111.5), DePauw (67), St. Joseph (44), Goshen (43.5), Marian (43.5) and Anderson (43).

AU hosts the Pre-Conference Invitational in Macholtz Stadium on Saturday at 11 a.m.
