Ravens roll over Robert Morris in men’s soccer

The Anderson University men’s soccer team defeated Robert Morris 6-1 on Wednesday night in Springfield, Ill.

The Ravens scored five goals in the first half while pitching a shutout over the first 45 minutes as keeper Bobby Holden didn’t allow a goal. Peter Boberg led the way with a goal and two assists and David Briscoe had a goal and an assist.

Matt Young, Dane Masuda, Teofil Bonacui and Paul Hill each had a goal for the Ravens. Zach Pearson and Stephen Girt each had an assist for AU.

AU outshot Robert Morris 27-5 in the game and had a 13-1 edge in corner kicks. Young led the offense with five shots and Briscoe added four shots.

AU (5-7, 2-0 HCAC) hosts Bluffton on Saturday. The game will be carried live on the internet broadcast at 11 a.m.
