Simpson, Washington sweep Raven softball team

The Anderson University softball team dropped a pair of games on Friday in Kissimmee, Fla., losing to Simpson 1-0 and Washington College 5-2.
Against Simpson, Kahley Barkes had the lone hit in the game for the Ravens. Kelly Thompson took the loss on the mound, allowing four hits and one run while striking out five and walking two.
Against Washington, Erin Garrity led the offense with a pair of hits and an RBI, including a double. Brittany Lane had an RBI single and Thompson added a hit.
AU (3-7) plays William Paterson and Franklin & Marshall on Saturday in Kissimme, Fla., at 3 p.m.
