Stott, Hurst win HCAC football player of week awards

Anderson University football players Darryl Stott and Luke Hurst have been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively.

Stott led the Raven offense with 28 carries for 200 yards and three touchdowns - all career highs. The sophomore also added a 36-yard reception and had 236 all-purpose yards in the 56-12 victory over Hanover.

Hust led the Raven defense with 12 tackles, including 10 solo stops. He also had an interception for 13 yards as they held the Panthers to 281 yards of total offense, including only 40 on the ground.

AU (2-2, 1-0 HCAC) travels to Mt. St. Joseph on Saturday. The game will be carried live on the internet broadcast from Cincinnati, Ohio, at 1:30 p.m.
