The Indianapolis Colts will hold training camp at Anderson University for the sixth consecutive year this coming summer. Dates for the camp will be announced by the Indianapolis Colts. Tens of thousands of fans attended the 2014 training camp, with opportunities to watch practices at AU's Macholtz Stadium, and family activities available through the popular Colts City.
Anderson University will be hosting their first Midwest Dance Festival, February 17-21, 2015. The festival will focus on performance, education, outreach and community to feature performances, master classes, and auditions for high school and university students. Events throughout the week for elementary and high schools along with university students, and professionals will be available.
Nearly 70 years ago, Ruthvern Byrum chaired the first art department at Anderson College. Tens of thousands of Anderson students have since experienced the importance of the visual arts in their education and to their lives.
Anderson University alums and legendary Christian recording artists and lyricists, Bill and Gloria Gaither will host a special tribute concert to honor President James L. Edwards and Mrs. Deanna Edwards on Sunday, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. in the Reardon Auditorium. The special celebration concert is free and open to the public.
Anderson University will be hosting “Shadow of the Turning: The Art of Binh Pho,” an art exhibit from Binh Pho. The exhibit opens on Feb. 16 at the Gallery at York Performance Hall and goes until May 10.
"Binh Pho truly is one of leading artists in the world in this unique and intriguing medium," said Bob Coffman, vice president for Advancement, "His work has been the focus of exhibits all across the country."
Senior athletic training major Elliott Reiff had the opportunity to work with the Buffalo Bills this summer as an intern for their summer camps. Faced with strenuous work, Reiff was rewarded with great recommendations and experiences that will shape his career.
Reiff was one of nine athletic training interns who worked with the Buffalo Bills during their summer training camp from the end of July through the month of August.
Anderson University junior Kacie McGuire recently received the 2015 Nicholson Student Servant Leadership Award for her servant leadership on campus and in the community. The award was made possible by funds directed to the university by Anderson University donors.

These words are the inspiration and theme for the American Eagle brand and company culture. These words were also the inspiration for senior marketing major Natalia Concepcion, as she had the opportunity to live out these attributes through a merchandising internship with the popular retailer.
“The internship program itself is extremely competitive,” Concepcion said. “You are constantly being evaluated on things.”
Maggie Liston, Kayla Jones, Darby Guard, Alaina Ellenburg and Eric Andrews didn't know what to expect when they suddenly became the Aber family last week.
They were among 50 Anderson University students who took part in a poverty simulation as part of the university's special programs honoring the life of Martin Luther King Jr.
The object of the two-hour exercise was to give students a glimpse into what life might be like as members of a low-income family struggling to survive from month-to-month.
