Anderson University recently announced that Susan Ellspermann, Lieutenant Governor of Indiana, will address the graduating class of 2014 during commencement exercises on Saturday, May 10. For the past four years, Anderson University has been helping pastors of small churches receive the financial means to begin their seminary journey. During the 2010-2011 academic year, the Anderson University School of Theology (SOT) applied for and received a $5,000 grant that allowed them to help one pastor each year begin his or her seminary education online. Once awarded to a recipient, the Chatlos scholarship pays for nearly an entire year of online education.
Dr. Michael Collette, professor of management in the Falls School of Business at Anderson University, received the 2014 United Way Volunteer of the Year Award. Stefanie Leiter, manager of online communications and community relations specialist, received the United Way Outstanding Coordinator. Both awards were presented at the annual dinner last night.
