New track scoreboard hangs in Ward Fieldhouse

There is a new track and field scoreboard in the Ward Fieldhouse at the Kardatzke Wellness Center.

The 9×18 foot color Daktronics GalaxyPro Matrix scoreboard was installed during the week of Feb. 25-29 and will be used for all Anderson University indoor track meets.

It was a five-year project, which was primarily funded by donations from friends, family and former alumni of Anderson University and the track and field program.

“We appreciate all the financial support we have received for this project over the past couple years,” said AU track and field coach Scott Wilson. “We are blessed with very strong supporters of the program and their generosity is much appreciated.

“Having this scoreboard will enhance our indoor track meets tremendously,” he continued. “With the ability to display instant results and current event times and updates, our spectators, coaches and athletes will be well informed during the meet.”
