Dr. Laura Stull, assistant professor of psychology at Anderson University, conducted research in the field of stigma and severe mental illness for her dissertation. An article based on her research, "Implicit and Explicit Stigma of Mental Illness: Attitudes in an evidence-based practice," has been accepted by The Journal of Nervous and Mental Disease.
Nationally known gospel artist Sandi Patty is heading up an all-star group of performers, all with roots to Anderson University, for "Woven Threads: Celebrating A Musical Legacy of Anderson University."
Anderson University welcomes alumni, family, and friends back for fun and fellowship during Homecoming 2013, Oct. 25-26. Along with the annual homecoming football game and introduction of the homecoming king, queen, and court, there will also be opportunities to enjoy the Street Fair (rain or shine) that will again host Reunion Park, the Raven's Nest Sundae, the return of a photo booth, and RavenFest.
Friday, Aug. 30, was a banner day for the Anderson Community School Corp. About 400 incoming Anderson University freshmen arrived by the dozens at various schools throughout the district. Orange shirts dotted the landscapes as the many students engaged in activities from painting dugouts at Anderson High School to painting soccer goals at Valley Grove Elementary.
Anderson University (Anderson, Ind.) once again earned a place in the top tier among Midwest regional universities in U.S. News & World Report’s Best Colleges 2014 guidebook. The exclusive rankings, which include nearly 1,400 schools nationwide, are available today online, and will also be published in U.S. News & World Report, on newsstands starting September 24. This marks the tenth consecutive year AU has been ranked among the nation’s best colleges.
Anderson University will host the fifth annual Elizabeth York Children’s Literature Festival on Saturday, Sept. 21, in the York Performance Hall. The all-day event (8 a.m. to 4 p.m.) is free and open to the public.
This year’s festival will bring to the Anderson University campus a number of individuals, including author/illustrator Chris Raschka, poet and picture book author Rebecca Kai Dotlich, author/illustrator Nathan Clement, and 2014 Caldecott Medal Committee member Dennis LeLoup.
