Wisdom Tooth Theatre Company Opens Doors and Minds

The stage is set, the curtain opens and a sold out crowd waits to see for themselves what all the hype is about. In August 2009, Anderson University’s Wisdom Tooth Theatre Productions, a three-year-old student-run company, put on a play entitled, "Waiting With M. Godot." The play was written and directed by AU’s Ronn Johnstone, producing artistic director for the production company.

WQME hires Leland Franklin as account executive

WQME 98.7 FM recently announced that well-known Anderson radio personality and salesperson Leland Franklin will join the station on Jan. 4 in the role of account executive. Franklin is replacing Gerald Longenbaugh who is retiring after many years of service. In his role, Franklin will work in the area of advertising and remote promotions.

Warner Sallman's "Head of Christ" to be featured on postage stamp

Warner Sallman’s painting, Head of Christ, will make its first-ever appearance on a postage stamp next year. The stamp will be released March 24 in the Åland Islands, an autonomous province of Finland situated between that country and Sweden. Sallman’s father, Elias Sallman, emigrated to the United States from the Åland Islands in 1886.
