AU Students Participate in I-69 Innovation Challenge

Five Anderson University students recently participated with four other schools in the third annual I-69 Collegiate Innovation Challenge sponsored by the Grant County Economic Growth Council. Other participants included Ball State University, Huntington University, Indiana Wesleyan University, and Taylor University. The purpose of the competition is to encourage entrepreneurship along the I-69 corridor, foster collaborative market solutions through team building, promote cross-pollination, and generate creative ideas.

Warmer weather draws AU student outside

weatherThe Anderson University football field was taken over by the school’s Ultimate team Sunday as the team sneaked in its first warm weather practice in months.

Brown and Schubert receive servant leaders awards

Anderson University juniors Stephanie Brown and Chad Schubert recently received the 2009 Nicholson Student Servant Leadership Award for services on campus and in the community. The awards were made possible by a grant from the Moore Foundation and Barney II Foundation as well as matching funds directed to the university by Anderson University donors.

3-D design class attempts messy 30-foot egg drop

Students in the 3-D design class recently put their conceptual studies into messy, real-life practice. Their goal? Construct a vessel that would safely transport a free-falling egg from over 30 feet to the bottom of the two-story stairwell in Decker Hall. The catch? The vessel was to be made entirely of paper without glue, staples, tape or fasteners of any kind.

Anderson University Hosts College Goal Sunday

cgsAnderson University will serve as a host site for College Goal Sunday, Feb. 15, at 2 p.m. in Hartung Hall, room 101 and 102.  College Goal Sunday is a statewide charitable program that provides free information and assistance to Indiana families applying for college financial aid. College Goal Sunday will take place at 36 sites throughout the state of Indiana.
