The Anderson University women’s soccer team lost to Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference foe Earlham College 5-0 on Saturday at Macholtz Stadium.
Earlham outshot AU 24-4 in the game and also had a 4-0 edge in corner kicks.
Sarah Guffy led the Ravens with two shots and Hillary Guion had 11 saves in goal.
AU (2-7, 0-2) travels to Franklin on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.

The Anderson University women’s soccer team lost to Defiance College 3-0 on Saturday in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference opener at the AU Soccer Field.
Hillary Guion had 12 saves in goal for the Ravens and Sarah Guffy led the team with three shots in the contest.
Defiance outshot AU 28-5 in the game and had a 7-0 advantage in corner kicks.
AU (2-6, 0-1 HCAC) hosts Oakland City on Wednesday at 4 p.m.

The Anderson University women’s soccer team defeated St. Mary’s of the Woods 3-2 in overtime on Wednesday night in Terre Haute.
The game-winning goal came in the 96th minute and was an “own goal” by the Pomeroy’s. Jennifer Matters scored the first two AU goals in the 67th and 77th minutes, respectively.
Sarah Michaels had an assist on the first goal and Hillary Guion had nine saves for the Ravens in net. Matters led AU with four shots and Tiffany Vega, Kat Mena and Andrea Whitacre each added three shots.
St. Mary’s outshot AU 20-19 in the game, but the Ravens had a 4-2 edge in corner kicks.
AU (2-5) hosts Defiance on Saturday at 3 p.m. The game will be carried live on video and Stretch Internet.

The Anderson University women’s soccer team lost to Illinois College 2-1 on Saturday at the AU Soccer Field.
Katie Rocholl scored the first goal of the game in the fourth minute on a free kick. Illinois tied the game in the 74th minute and got the game-winner in the 88th minute.
Illinois outshot AU 21-7 in the game and had a 6-1 advantage in corner kicks. Hillary Guion had 12 saves in goal for the Ravens.
AU (1-5) travels to St. Mary’s of the Woods on Wednesday at 5 p.m.

The Anderson University women’s soccer team defeated Spalding University 3-0 on Thursday night at Macholtz Stadium.
The victory was the first career win for first-year coach Jennifer Myhre.
Sarah Guffy scored a pair of goals for the Ravens, including the game winner in just the second minute of the game with Jennifer Matters getting the assist. The other goal was an “own goal” by the Golden Eagles.
AU outshot Spalding 15-8 in the game and had a 4-2 edge in corner kicks. Hillary Guion earned the shutout in goal, making five saves in the contest.
Matters and Guffy led the Ravens with five shots each.
AU (1-4) hosts Illinois College on Saturday at 4 p.m.

The Anderson University women’s soccer team lost to Cincinnati Christian University 8-0 on Saturday the AU Soccer Field.
Wynne O’Neal led the Ravens with two shots and Sarah Guffy added one shot on goal.
Shantol McMahon had 14 saves in goal for the Ravens.
AU (0-4) hosts Spalding on Thursday at 7:15 p.m.

The Anderson University women’s soccer team lost to Oberlin College 2-0 on Friday in the home opener at the AU Soccer Field.
Oberlin scored on a pair of long goals in the 32nd and 55th minutes to account for the only goals of the game.
The Yeomen outshot the Ravens 21-16 and had a 5-3 advantage in corner kicks.
Sarah Guffy led AU with 11 shots and Jennifer Matters added four shots. Shantol McMahon had four saves in goal for the Ravens.
AU (0-3) hosts Cincinnati Christian on Saturday at 11 a.m. The game will be carried live on Stretch Internet.

The Anderson University women’s soccer team lost at Trine University 6-2 on Monday night in Angola.
Kelsey Rusterholz scored the first AU goal of the game in the 29th minute to cut the Trine lead to 2-1. Sarah Guffy scored the second goal in the 86th minute.
Guffy led the Ravens with three shots and Emileigh Conwell had five saves in goal. Trine outshot AU 23-4 in the game and had a 6-3 edge in corner kicks.
AU (0-2) hosts Oberlin on Friday at 5 p.m.

The Anderson University women’s soccer team was picked to finish 10th in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference pre-season coaches poll on Tuesday.
Transylvania was selected to finish first with 98 points and eight first-place votes. They were followed by Hanover (87), Earlham (80), Mt. St. Joseph (70), Rose-Hulman (59), Bluffton (47), Manchester (40), Defiance (33), Franklin (19) and Anderson (17).
AU opens the 2011 season at Thomas More on Sept. 3 at 1 p.m.
