The IMEA gives out multiple scholarships each year based on various requirements. AU music students are required to attend IMEA conferences and are very involved with the organization.

Dr. Lerone A. Martin graduated from Anderson University in 2002 with a bachelor of arts degree in Christian ministries. After pursuing African American religion and American religious history throughout his graduate studies, he has recently been hired into the religion department at Wake Forest University.
Anderson University junior Watson George received the 2014 Nicholson Student Servant Leadership Award for his servant leadership on campus and in the community. The award was made possible by funds directed to the university by Anderson University donors. The award is named in honor of Dr. Robert A. Nicholson, president emeritus of Anderson University.
From February 22 through March 21, Jessie C. Wilson Galleries at Anderson University will host the annual Juried Student Exhibition. The opening reception and award ceremony will take place on Saturday, February 22, from 3 to 5 p.m. This year’s juror, Chris Sickels, will give a lecture at 4 p.m. His work will be exhibited in conjunction with the student work selected for the exhibition.
