AU students contribute more than 24,000 volunteer hours

While volunteering at The Christian Center, Chance, an Anderson University student, noticed a man’s shoes were in bad condition and barely staying on his feet. While talking with this man, Chance decided to take his shoes off and give them to the man. “He was planning on walking back to campus in the snow, with no shoes,” said Dr. Stuart Erny, director of campus ministries at AU.

Willhardt Memorial Window in Miller Chapel, Anderson University School of Theology

At the front of the Anderson University School of Theology's Miller Chapel is the Willhardt Memorial Window, a stained glass window that takes center stage. It is not easily ignored, but instead, it is marveled at as people gather in the chapel. During the spring semester, the window served as a guide while seminary faculty preached through a sermon series focusing on the different themes represented in the artwork.

Keihin North America donates $10,000 to Anderson University in Indiana.

Six months ago, vehicle parts manufacturer Keihin North America announced it would move its corporate headquarters to Anderson's Flagship Enterprise Center, 2701 Enterprise Drive.

Now, "We're officially here," said vice president Greg Young, after cutting a blue ribbon to dedicate the facility Friday afternoon.

AU student starts Young Life chapter serving Hispanic community

Lizbeth Barajas is a junior at Anderson University, double majoring in exercise science and Spanish. Aside from her studies, she devotes a portion of her time to serving and volunteering. Barajas has been a volunteer with Young Life, a faith-based student outreach ministry, since 2011. Throughout her time serving as a volunteer, she saw a great need within the program to reach the Hispanic community.
