AU hosts entrepreneurship business camp

Twelve aspiring entrepreneurs descended upon Anderson University’s campus last week hoping to create the perfect product pitch.
They spent hours planning, filming and editing one-minute infomercials for their product and mingling with other entrepreneurs who had already established their own companies and products.

AU interns provide assistance in difficult economic times

In difficult economic times, a number of AU students are providing needed assistance and gaining valuable experience through summer internships. Through the INvision program, students are able to complete such internships which help them develop the necessary skills and professional relationships, giving them the edge in an increasingly competitive job market.
INvision AU partners with companies and organizations from government, health care, technology, social services, arts and culture, religious, service providing conglomerates, and other sectors in order to provide opportunities to AU students.

Anderson, Purdue universities partner for graduate degree program

Starting this fall, Anderson and Purdue universities will jointly offer students the chance to earn two master’s degrees at the same time. The degree program will allow students to earn, in a concurrent manner, a master of business administration from the Anderson University Falls School of Business and a master of science in technology from Purdue’s College of Technology.
Flagship hosts first Grow Conference

Businesses from a 30-mile radius sent representatives to the Flagship Enterprise Center on Thursday for the center’s first Grow Conference, which presented tools for businesses to survive during an economic drought.
The Grow Conference featured speakers, ranging from Anderson University Falls School of Business Dean Terry Truitt to Continental Inc. owner Judy Nagengast, and workshops on lean operations and quality control. Indiana Lt. Gov. Becky Skillman was the keynote speaker during lunch at the conference.

Wearing the traditional black caps and gowns, the 2009 class of Anderson University graduates lined up on the school’s campus Saturday, eager to receive their diplomas, but somewhat anxious about their job prospects amid a shaky economy.
