The Anderson University Board of Trustees recently announced that Dr. Marie S. Morris has been named provost for the university, effective immediately. As provost, Morris reports to the president and will serve as chief academic officer for academic programs (excluding the School of Theology) and provide administrative oversight for areas including educational support services, information technology services, intercultural studies, Nicholson Library, registrar’s office, institutional strategic planning, and institutional research and effectiveness.
U.S. News and World Report ranks AU among top Midwest universities

Anderson University (Anderson, Ind.) once again earned a place in the top tier among Regional Universities – Midwest in U.S. News & World Report’s Best Colleges 2012 guidebook. The exclusive rankings, which include more than 1,400 schools nationwide, are available today online, and will also be published in U.S. News & World Report, on newsstands starting September 20. This marks the eighth consecutive year AU has been ranked among the nation’s best colleges.
Anderson University unveils new logo, brand direction

Anderson University unveiled a new logo and matching web designs today during the opening faculty and staff session to celebrate the beginning of a new academic year. This is the first major redesign of the logo since 1994. In addition, the university unveiled a new communication strategy to distinguish Anderson University through a variety of media—such as billboard and television commercials—that will be available in the fall.
Forbes.com names Anderson University one of America’s Top Colleges

For the first time, Forbes.com has named Anderson University one of America’s Top Colleges.
Forbes.com included only the top 20 percent of all undergraduate institutions in the 2011 rankings. The rankings were prepared by the Center for College Affordability and Productivity (CCAP).

They all packed their belongings for a semester and headed outside the U.S. to learn, live, and explore abroad. Offering more than 30 locations around the world, AU’s study abroad program gives students the chance to develop a greater understanding of world affairs, build cross-cultural awareness, and experience unique opportunities for personal growth. It also broadens and diversifies a student’s education and enhances their professional opportunities.
AU students recognized for academic achievement

Six Anderson University seniors were recognized during honors chapel/convocation on April 19, 2011, for achieving a 4.0 cumulative GPA during their years at AU. Renee Bader, Elizabeth Barrow, Ambrosia Davidson, Keith Sayer, Joanna Tilley, and Samantha Toeller received awards for their outstanding academic achievement. Gabe Miller and Ellen Thompson were also recognized with the Outstanding Senior Athlete Award for their academic and athletic achievement, campus involvement, and leadership.
Alpha Mu Gamma honors exceptional foreign language students

For some faculty and staff members at Anderson University, catching up with beloved family members is as simple as walking to the next office. Traditionally, AU has played host to generations of family members. The experience of some individuals at AU impacts their life in a way that influences family members to follow suit as students or staff members. Currently, AU employs three pairs of brothers who work in various departments on campus.
