Not long ago, Anderson University senior Latoya Francis was faced with a dilemma. The international student from Grand Cayman would soon be graduating, then participating in her third trip to Uganda, where she has been involved in the Tumaini Aids Prevention Program (TAPP). But she did not have the funds to finance her return home.
AU restructures School of Music, Theatre, and Dance

Beginning with the 2012-2013 academic year, the Anderson University School of Music will be known as the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance. Along with this name change, a new major in musical theatre will also be introduced.
Senior Kelly Frye receives 2012 Stevenson Award

Anderson University senior Kelly Frye was awarded the 2012 Stevenson Outstanding Student Award on April 27 during a luncheon on campus. The $5,000 award is presented annually by the Biology Department and made possible through a gift by Dr. Jerry and Patricia Stevenson.
Summer classes benefit traditional and nontraditional students

For many students at Anderson University, scheduling classes can be a difficult task. However, with the inclusion of summer classes, some of that stress can be alleviated. Summer classes provide an extra four sessions in which students can complete credits toward graduation. The classes are also offered at a reduced rate of $350 per credit hour, which helps ease the financial burdens that many students face. These classes are offered in a variety of formats, including traditional, online, and independent study, and can help both traditional and nontraditional students earn credits toward a degree.
AU seniors present art and design projects

But it’s always intriguing to see where these seniors come up with their concepts whether it’s a 3-D dragon head sticking out of a wall or a music-accompanied video of circles and lines.

Co-authored by Toni Cantrell, novelist, and Bea Simmons, secretary in the Department of Modern Foreign Languages at Anderson University, the story will certainly grab the attention of its audience.

Johnstone shines in AU production of “Give ‘em Hell, Harry”

With a stocky and sturdy build, Ronn Johnstone doesn’t immediately resemble a common perception of Harry S. Truman as short and grandfatherly.
But once Johnstone, who is director of theater at Anderson University, begins to quote Truman in a one-man stage show, he fully envelops the persona of the 33rd president.
