Clark, Rocholl named to All-HCAC 2nd Team

Anderson University women’s soccer players Carlie Clark and Katie Rocholl have been named to the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference 2nd Team for the 2009 season.

Clark finished with a goal, an assist and three points on 20 shots this season while Rocholl had 13 shots for the Ravens.

AU finished the season 2-15-2 overall and 1-6-1 in the HCAC.

Women end soccer season with loss at Bluffton

The Anderson University women’s soccer team lost to Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference foe Bluffton University 1-0 on Saturday in the season finale in Bluffton, Ohio.

The Beavers outshot the Ravens 13-9 in the game, but the visitors had a 5-4 edge in corner kicks. Heidi Lanzer had six saves in goal for AU.

Sarah Guffy led the Ravens with three shots and Carlie Clark added two in her final game.

AU finishes the season 2-14-2 overall and 1-6-1 in the HCAC.

Women’s soccer gets even with St. Mary’s of the Woods

The Anderson University women’s soccer team defeated St. Mary’s of the Woods College 5-1 on Wednesday in Terre Haute.

The Pomoroys had defeated the Ravens earlier in the season at AU.

Four different Ravens scored in the game with Kelsey Kegerris and Kat Mena each recording a goal and an assist.

Autumn Tolliver and Carlie Clark scored the other two AU goals with Sarah Guffy getting two assists. Abbey Witt and Kara Nussbaum each had an assist.

AU outshot St. Mary’s 26-10 in the game and also had an 8-1 edge in corner kicks. Heidi Lanzer earned the victory in goal with three saves.

Guffy led the visitors with six shots and Clark added four shots. Witt, Kegerris and Mena each chipped in with three shots apiece.

AU (2-14-2, 1-5-1 HCAC) travels to Bluffton on Saturday for the season finale at noon.
