The Falls School of Business in partnership with the Alumni Association and the AU Career Development Center hosted an AU Alumni career networking opportunity on October 22 at the Anderson University Flagship Enterprise Center.
Kyle Lacy (AU FSB grad and author of Twitter Marketing for Dummies) presented on the importance of Professional Networking via LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, etc.
This come-and-go event was an informal gathering for both Career Advancement and Career Assistance offering personal and professional development opportunities. Anderson University Alumni from the Central Indiana region were available as a resource, as well as career services professionals to assist with networking advice, resume services, and educational opportunities.
A free continental breakfast was served. Over 25 MBA students and AU grads attended this very positively reviewed event!
“Prior to the presentation by Kyle Lacy I simply had my personal info listed on Linked In and had forgotten about it,” said 1999 MBA graduate, Tim Thompson. “After the seminar, I now understand how I can effectively use the site in my job search.”
