Campus advertising earns ADDY awards

The Anderson University areas of Publications, University Communications and Covenant Productions® recently received several ADDY awards for marketing and advertising efforts. All three areas were honored by the Advertising Federation of East Central Indiana during the 2007 ADDY award competition. In all, Anderson University came away with 9 ADDY awards for creative execution in the areas of print, broadcast, Web, direct mail and DVD projects. The ADDY awards honor excellence in advertising and cultivate the highest creative standards in the industry.

The AU Publications office earned a Silver ADDY award in the Collateral Material category for the Case Statement created for the “Dreams. Discovery. Direction.” campaign for Anderson University. Credits were given to Kerry Shaw, Robert Coffman, Holly Miller and Dale Pickett.

The AU Office of University Communications received a Gold ADDY award and a People’s Choice ADDY award in the Interactive Media category for the new Anderson University public Web site: . The new Web site was created by Anderson University and design vendor Brainstorm based in Indianapolis. Credited were Chris Williams, Bart Caylor, Julie Tuttle, Stefanie Leiter, and Dana Root.

Also receiving a Gold ADDY award in the Interactive Media category was the new mini Web site created for the “Dreams, Discovery, Direction” capital campaign for Anderson University: . Credited for the work were Chris Williams and Stefanie Leiter from AU as well as Paul Ruda and Dana Root from Brainstorm in Indianapolis.

The Advertising Federation of East Central Indiana honored student designer Dane Benton in the AU Publications office through the Student category with three Silver ADDY awards for direct marketing mail cards and Save-the-Date cards created for the Department of Student Life and the AU Alumni office.

Anderson University’s Covenant Productions® won a Silver ADDY award in the Television category for a commercial promoting Saint John’s Health System in Anderson. Credits were given to Dr. Donald Boggs, Mark Dawson and David Armstrong. Boggs, Dawson and Armstrong also earned a Silver ADDY award in the Elements of Advertising Category for cinematography on a special DVD promoting the “Dreams. Discovery. Direction.” campaign for Anderson University.

The Advertising Federation of East Central Indiana is part of the American Advertising Federation, a national organization that promotes excellence in advertising.
