As a part of its 2006-07 Guest Artist Series, Anderson University will host a Thodos Dance Chicago in Byrum Hall on Friday, April 13, at 7:30 p.m. As an innovative contemporary dance company, Thodos Dance Chicago's mission embodies a new model for contemporary dance within Chicago and across the broader dance community. The Company's blend of dance performance, dance education, and creation of new work provides its artists with the maximum opportunity to grow. These components provide students and audience members with a meaningful experience, demonstrating and reinforcing the value of dance as a cultural activity.

addition to performing choreography of its resident artistic staff, Thodos Dance performs a diverse array of works including those of Tony-Award winning choreographer Ann Reinking, internationally acclaimed American choreographer Lar Lubovitch, the New York team of Shapiro & Smith, and west coast choreographer Amy Ernst, formerly of the Bella Lewitzky Dance Company. The company has been featured alongside the most elite companies in the Chicago dance community including the Joffrey Ballet and Hubbard Street Dance Chicago at Chicago’s annual “Dance for Life” AIDS fundraising benefit.
