odleDr. Andy Odle will be the featured campus guest speaker for Impact Your World Week, Feb. 3-5, at Anderson University. The AU Campus Ministries office sponsors Impact Your World Week to offer students and the community an opportunity for worship and study with an off-campus speaker.

Impact Your World Week is conducted early in Semester II and focuses on Christ’s call to us to serve in the world. Key leaders from around the world are invited to campus each year to lead this special week.

Andy attended Anderson University and graduated with a B.A. in 1996. Upon graduation he accepted the position of Associate Pastor of Youth and College Ministries at East Side Church of God in Anderson, Indiana. After three years at East Side, Andy moved to Atlanta, Georgia where he joined the staff of Church on the Street and served as the director of mission teams and interns.

Andy soon decided to continue his education and began to divide his time between Church on the Street and the Anderson University School of Theology where he earned a Masters of Divinity in 2004 and was awarded Professional Distinction in Ministry.

While studying for his M.Div. Andy was ordained by the Church of God, and met and married Amy. Soon after graduating, Andy resigned his position at Church on the Street to take on a year-long interim pastor assignment in Muncie, Indiana while he and Amy prepared to move to the United Kingdom to pursue doctoral studies.

Andy and Amy then moved to Scotland where he completed his Ph.D. program at King’s College, University of Aberdeen. Andy’s Ph.D. is in Moral and Practical Theology and his dissertation details a theology of sociality that yields a theological account of poverty and homelessness. He then applies this to the state's and church's responses to the problem of homelessness.

While living in Scotland Amy gave birth to their first child, Ainsley Elizabeth. Andy and his family have returned to Atlanta where he now serves as the Executive Director of Church on the Street and the Center for Practical Theology.

Impact Your World Week services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday and Thursday and from 5:30-7 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday night in Reardon Auditorium.
